Hi, I'm Zak.

I thoroughly believe that our immediate environment shapes who we become as people, and the attitude we bring into the outside world.

This is why I was moved to start a home renovation company.

I've observed this principle at work in my own life, based on first-hand experiences. A few years ago, I was living in a small downtown studio in Toronto. The attractions were plentiful, but so were the distractions. Toronto is a fine city, and it's a city I love visiting, but living here takes a bit of tossing and turning to get used to the faster pace of life.

Instead, I decided it was time for a change of scenery.

I've since settled into a modest townhouse in the country and have never been happier or more productive. I think a home renovation provides us with an opportunity to exercise the same sort of freedom. To shape your home to your own habits, to influence and nurture new habits, and to feed into the things that bring out the best in each and every one of us.

With your permission, it will be my privilege to play a small role in helping you realize the fullest potential of your home — and by extension, yourself.

Habitat for Humanity volunteers building a home Second Harvest volunteers delivering food to the community

Most of us measure money in months, maybe even years. We have a little rainy day fund stashed away. We endeavor to save up enough money to afford a good education for our kids. Or to perhaps renovate the basement to accommodate our aging parents in the future.

But to some, money holds a more fundamental meaning. It's a hot meal at the end of a long day, made with real ingredients. Or a sturdy roof to call their own, and room for a family of three to grow into. It's the hope for a better tomorrow, for people and the planet.

"Be the change you want to see in the world." And so we have.

We've made the pledge to donate 1% of sales from every job to support local chapters and charities supporting and strengthening our communities.

One percent may not sound like much, but it adds up. Especially when 4,000 businesses across the world, just like us, put people and planet over profit.

Why iNSEQUENCE

Four reasons homeowners choose us and stay with us.

01

The process protects you — it doesn't just impress you.

We charge for pre-construction because it's where most projects begin to drift. Scope, materials, permits — all confirmed before construction starts. That's how we offer a fixed-price contract and protect it.

02

One person owns your project, start to finish.

Your dedicated Project Manager is introduced at pre-construction and stays with you all the way through Estate Care. No phone tag with 10 different personalities. One chain of accountability throughout.

03

You'll never have to chase us for an update.

Progress reports every Tuesday by noon. Monthly site reviews scheduled in advance. If something changes, you hear it from us first.

04

The warranty is written down because we plan to stick around.

Two years, workmanship and materials, plain language. We schedule the post-completion check-ins. Contractors who disappear after the punch list don't put warranties in writing. We do.

Who we work with

People who get the most out of working with us.

  • Seniors and adult children with senior parents who want to reduce the risk of falls at home.
  • Families in pre-2015 homes that have never been properly renovated.
  • People starting a new chapter, in a new home, and want to renovate before moving in.

Projects typically range from $25,000 to $250,000. We serve Toronto, the Greater Toronto Area, Simcoe County, and the Muskoka region.
